THE SAGUARO HOTEL // THE COLOR OASIS

Having two days off in a row I decided to head to Big Bear Lake with the intention of jet skiing on the water front with my family. After getting up the mountain and grabbing a coffee at the local shop, a friend text me that the power had gone out in the whole town. I told her that wasn't possible because I was in the coffee shop next to her work and as I sent off the text the shop went black hahah. Rushing back to the car, I told my family we need to check into the hotel ASAP to ensure that the power is on. We drove the block and parked at the hotel to be told that the entire town was now out of power for the next four days. I was told I was being refunded my amount and that I should get down the mountain before I run out of gas because there was no gas station operating.... I can't make this shit up. I got my ass down the mountain on a quarter of gas and decided I wasn't going to let this detour ruin my two days. So, I looked on my google maps for a close city that could be fun and saw Palm Springs wasn't too far. With my bathing suit still packed and ready to be used, I booked a new room. Stopped for ROSE because duhhhhh, and headed to the color oasis I was soon to fall in love with: The Saguaro Hotel.

CHECKING IN // LOOK AT THE LOBBY AHH.

The front desk staff was pumped full of really attractive people that were so unbelievably helpful and kind after such a long travel day. They let us pick our room, informed us of all our available amenities, and suggested buys at the restaurant/tequila bar: El Jefe.

THE ROOM & THE COLORS. ALL THE COLORS.

I had heard of the hotel before, but it was always mixed reviews. The hallways were bright and the multicolored doors were an aesthetic dream. The hallways were well lit and all rooms faced the courtyard so you were guaranteed a cuter view than some random parking lot. Our room was on the 3rd floor so we didn't have to worry about hearing anyone upstairs. The view to the pool was perfect and the rooms were not loud. I stayed during the week so it was quite calm and not crowded. IT WAS A DREAM. The bathrooms were brightly lit and made it easy to put my makeup on with 3 huge mirrors in the room. The A/C was perfect for how sweltering hot it was outside. The beds were huge and comfortable with no need for anything. The full menu was available for room service AND by the pool. You literally are served no matter where you are on the property. When I am on vacation, I'm lazy as hell.

OVERALL

You can expect to be seeing me at The Saguaro once a month this summer. It is definitely the perfect place to draw creativity & take in the views surrounding you. I read on the porch, swam in the late hours of the night, sipped on the best tequila cocktails & loved every minute. See you soon my loves. xx VEE
