Hollywood Nights with Tyler Rich
Tyler Rich Came to Los Angeles last night, and brought some amazing friends with him for a night of great country music. Thanks to Boots On Stage, I was able to come to the show with one of my best friends and enjoy the Meet & Greet with Tyler before the show. The crowd was filled with familiar faces in the country scene with Graham Bunn from Go Country 105.1, Sam Palladio and Chaley Rose from Nashville, and a lot of other country lovers that I have met at other shows, over instagram, and through collaborations.
Opening for Tyler was Singer/Songwriter Spencer Crandall, who set the tone for the night with a talented acoustic set of soulful runs. Country Music is evolving in the industry, but the one thing that will never change is: successful country musicians are kind, genuine, and hardworking in their artistry. Spencer brings just that. You'll want to keep an eye out for this one. Rumor has it, he is headed to Nashville to pursue his talents. Can't wait to see how far he comes!
Taking the stage mid-show was Honey County, the girl group that is comprised of the most talented harmonizing trio. Their eclectic stage presence encourages their individual presence and really highlights their personalities. Miss Devon Jane had myself and a group of men behind me yelling and clapping in awe while she shred on guitar. I was so impressed with this trio and can't wait to see them again soon.
Having found out about Tyler Rich on Instagram about a year and a half ago, I listened to his tracks, saw him at the House of Blues as an opener, and knew he was going to be the next huge star in Country. His easy going demeanor, love for his fans, and honesty on stage is not easy to forget once you see him on stage. He makes you a fan after one song. This was blatantly obvious last night as he asked the crowd who had seen him before vs. who is seeing him for the first time. A great 1/3 of the crowd had not seen him before, yet he had them hollering and singing along by the end of the next song. He had won the hearts inside the Troubadour and brought alongside talented company, only reiterating his non-wavering new place in Country Music. He brought up Chaley Rose from Nashville for a chill rendering cover of Chris Stapleton.
The night was made possible with the hardworking musicians that support the artists, the family and friends that support them, and the fans that encourage their dreams with honest connections to their music and love of sharing music on social media. These three musicians brought California Country to celebrate music and country culture together in a time when so much in the world tries to remind us to be negative, competitive, or hard of heart. These three musicians encouraged us all to remember why country music is different than any other genre: Country Music is a family and we all take care of each other, build each other up, and love the gifts the Good Lord has given us. That, is Country.
Till Next Time, xx Vee.
