COLDBREWALLEY X SAN FRANCISCO
Hotel Zeppelin // San Francisco, CA
Hi my darlings! I am so sorry I have been MIA for the past few weeks. Life has been really hard on my heart with a few big life changes that I will share with you when I'm able to even process it myself. I am doing okay now with a new Church Home Group I joined supporting, praying, and offering me kindness at every turn. I received some life changing news at the doctors that is going to require a lot of doctor visits in the next few months. I've partnered with a woman who recently finished recovering from the same thing to mentor me through the whole process. So I will be able to figure that all out with positivity Praise Jesus! I have been working around the clock to help a HUGE museum open in the next few months as a marketing strategist and media buyer for the entire process (so much pressure, but amazing opportunity!) Also, starting this week at a new job as a corporate strategist for another company (I'm running on coffee + prayer!) With all of these changes, it has been hard for me to blog since I've just been present with people 24/7, but I am back, and setting time aside to pour into something that has brought me so much joy: vulnerability in writing, blogging, offering encouragement + insight to anyone reading this, and documenting life for my future friends + family at this time. I love you all and so thankful for your support. With that being all said and done haha I offer my swift return to the blogging world after weeks of hiatus. I was able to visit a new boutique hotel in San Francisco to offer you an insight into the new trending MUST-SEE hotel. Thank you Hotel Zeppelin for having me!
Hotel Zeppelin Review
LOCATION: Hotel Zeppelin is in the heart of the Nob Hill neighborhood. I felt extremely safe in a city I'm familiar with, but in NO way a local. I was able to take a 10 minute Uber to my favorite locations in SF & walk around from there. I was never too far from the Hotel, making my trip relaxing, stress free, and gave me the opportunity to focus on finding hidden gems around the city while sipping on the best whiskey cocktail I've had in a while! The location was easy to get to from the freeway and offered valet service, but I left my car around the corner in a parking garage for the entirety of the trip no need to worry about stressful parking around SF.
DECOR: The modern vintage decor is a delightful fusion of new age clean bar design, sophisticated modern artwork cast against various textured walls, and mix matched furniture excite the eyes. I was IN LOVE with the hotel the second I stepped through the doors and was anxious to explore and see my room.
PERKS: After checking-in, I was able to head around the wall and find a chic fireplace warming the room and a bar in front of me. I mean, you guys know how much I love myself a drink or two. There were bottles of gin cascading above the bar and the detailed architecture of every possible only spurned my LOVE for this hotel. Though the hotel has a bar in around the lobby corner, there is a restaurant through the lobby next door that has a bar as well! I ordered an amazing little whiskey cocktail and it gave me life. Heading downstairs to the relaxing "game room" I was met with a ski ball machine, a shuffle board, pool table, two huge flat screen tv's to watch the football game, and A BASKETBALL WALL. Let me repeat myself. The wall had 6 hoops with points rated below them. The walls had retro batman cartoons and neon lights streaming the ceiling creating the perfect glow. I decided to play my brother best to 21 and definitely found myself sweating after. Ball is life. There is ACTUALLY something to do for everyone regardless of your age. There was the cutest group of friends laughing and cheering each other on playing ski ball. I CAN NOT WAIT to come back and stay with friends.
THE ROOM: I was generously upgraded from my original room that was already AMAZING! I linked my Hulu account to the room so I could watch Broad City while getting ready to go out for the day, because why not? The modern decor was matched with a retro bathroom wallpaper displaying amazing artist names graphically designed to flow across the walls. The room was completely quiet and serene letting me relax from the loud noise of the city. The Nespresso machine in my room was perfect for small jolts of perfect double espressos throughout my day. I was so comfortable and felt so cared for by the staff who provided me with recommendations, extra pillows, wake up calls, and immediate help with anything I needed.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE: If you want to experience the culture and art of San Francisco, but want to stay in a safe area with a mix of sophistication and urban culture, Hotel Zeppelin is the place for you. Traveling a lot as a woman in today's society, safety is my main concern. Seeing a new place is necessary, but in SF one street is completely safe and the next block is not and not being from the area, figuring that out the hard way is not in my itineray. Hotel Zeppelin has the best concierge staff watching the lobby, sending you out with the best suggestions, and looking out for your best interest while being personable and kind. I am already planning my return with my best friends in a few weeks. I'll update you when I go xx.
